Who profits from Spring into Tawa?

Spring into Tawa is run by the Tawa Residents’ Association as a not-for-profit event. Stallholder fees go towards the costs of running the event – including closing the road, advertising, rubbish bins, generators, portable toilets and stage and sound equipment.  If the event does make a surplus this is donated to a local community group or organisation.

In 2018, we are proud to support the Tawa Youth and Families Trust, the Tawa Community Patrol and Tawa Menzshed.

How is Spring into Tawa funded?

Spring into Tawa is funded by stallholder fees, sponsorship and grants. We apply to local organisations for grants.  The 2018 event will be funded with the generous support of grants from the Tawa Community Board, the Hutt Mana Community Trust, the Wellington City Council Events Fund and sponsorship from One Agency - Tamsin Davidson, Speedy Signs, The Borough and Digital Tree Design.

How do I get a stall at Spring into Tawa?

Applications for 2018 have now closed.  Applications for 2019 will open in around July - please email to be added to the email list to be notified when applications open next year.  This year, we had more people wanting a stall than we could accommodate.

How many people attend Spring into Tawa?

As an open air and free entry event, it is difficult to estimate the numbers who attend. Conservative estimates for the 2017 were around 4,000 people.  The event continues to grow each year.

Can Spring into Tawa support my fundraising efforts?

Many of the local and community stalls at Spring into Tawa have a fundraising focus. This is a wonderful opportunity for local groups to raise funds for their projects.  We love that we can support so many great causes in our community.
